About Me

I have always been athletic, loving the outdoors and enjoy staying fit. In 1986 I competed in my first bodybuilding competition in Laval, Quebec . I enjoyed competing but life took over . In 2006 at the age of 44 with 2 teenage children , I decided to challenge myself again . I competed in the Alberta Southern Bodybuilding Competition in the light weight class and master. I placed 1rst in lightweight and second in masters. Since I qualified, the following week I decided to try the Alberta Provincials and took second place in the light weight class. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, having no expectations and respectfully placing . Yup, I decided I would never stop. The following year, 2007, I competed in the Canadian Nationals. I placed 10th in the light weight class and 13th in the masters class. Wow, did I learn a lot about myself. I stood beside some very impressive athletes. In 2010 I competed again and I plan to continue. I also enjoy hiking.....check out hikebuzz.com to see our latest trips. Part of growth is to continue to challenge oneself. That is one proverb I live by.
